West A Street Improvement Project Open House

You should have gotten a post card in the mail from the City of Lincoln recently regarding the open house on 5/25 for the West A Street Improvement Project. Here are the details:

Thursday, May 25, 2017
5:30pm - 7:00pm
Roper Elementary School, 2323 South Coddington Avenue

The project team is seeking input from individuals and groups as this project is beginning to take shape. You may share your concerns and help to identify specific problem areas.

Give yourself a chance to be heard!

New Bus Route 51

In the last couple months, you may have noticed the new bus stop signs through the neighborhood. The City of Lincoln extended route 51 to include our area.

The city conducted a study to increase the number of riders in Lincoln, while comparing Lincoln to other cities of similar size. They determined expanding bus routes with new stops would help them grow the number of riders.

The closest bus stop used to be at SW 27th and W South streets. Now, there are 3 new stops to take riders downtown. The new stops are located at:
Timber Ridge Road & Timber Ridge Circle
W Garfield & SW 36th Street
SW 36th & W A Street

Hourly pickups at W Garfield & SW 36th Street begin at 6:45 each weekday morning and the last stop is at 6:45 each evening.
On Saturday, pickups are every two hours at W Garfield & SW 36th Street beginning at 8:15am and the last stop is at 6:15pm.

Fall 2016 Message

Our Fiscal year has ended and the new dues notices have been mailed. The Board has determined that the dues will increase to keep up with rising costs. We are diligent about keeping our costs down as well as keeping our Neighborhood looking good.

It's also time to store all RV's, Boats and Trailers per TRHA covenants. The Storage period is from: Sept 30th to May 1st. Thank You for your cooperation.

I have posted the minutes from the Annual Meeting as there have been many questions about the increase in HOA dues. To answer some questions generally, the following expenses are covered by your dues:
- Lawn Care and Snow Removal for the common areas
- Liability insurance for the wetlands and common areas
- Weed and pest control for the common areas
- Tree trimming and removal
- Accounting services

Please feel free to contact the Board with concerns and for future meeting information.

Brett Erlandson
Timber Ridge HOA President 2016-17
